The Farmland Access Navigator Program pairs land-seeking farmers with an advocate who can provide mentorship and resources and help steer them through their land access journey. Referred to as “navigators,” these individuals offer support, help beginning farmers assess their readiness and help them find durable and fair land tenure that meets their goals. Navigators have extensive training, use proven techniques for supporting beginning farmers and meet regularly to discuss opportunities and hurdles farmers face to better serve them.
