Summary

Much has been written about the challenges that beginning and other farmers in the US face regarding access to farms and land to farm. Although agricultural land tenure has always been an issue, the consensus is that finding, getting onto and holding land for farming is harder than in past generations. Producers, service providers, policymakers and advocates are working to reduce barriers to land access and exploring less traditional models.
