Legal Aid of Nebraska provides assistance to beginning farmers and ranchers and prospective farmers and ranchers via materials, training, and education on: (1) financial and risk management training; (2) diversification and marketing strategies; (3) assistance in acquisition in land from retiring farmers and ranchers; and (4) agricultural rehabilitation and vocational training for veterans. Legal Aid of Nebraska provides education and training on topics such as beginning farmer and rancher programs and resources, succession and estate planning for retiring farmers and ranchers, choice and use of entity including buy-sell agreements, small-scale production and marketing, cottage food laws, leases, contractual arrangements, and other legal issues and concerns pertinent to beginning farmers and ranchers.
