The Iowa Loan Participation Program is intended to assist lenders and qualified farmers by participating in a loan for the purchase of agricultural property. This program may be used to supplement the borrower's down payment so that the borrower can more readily secure a loan from a participating lender. This program may also be used in conjunction with the Iowa Beginning Farmer Loan Program or the U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency's Beginning Farmer Loan programs.
