    Good agricultural practices (GAPs) workshops

    By University of Minnesota Extension

    Description

These workshops provide a deep dive into Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) on the farm. GAPs are science-based, farm-level practices for keeping fresh produce safe. GAPs training is for farm owners, workers and gardeners who grow, harvest and pack fresh vegetables for sale to all markets, including farmers markets, CSA, retail, schools, restaurants, or who donate produce to others. Renewing the Countryside will host a networking event after the trainings. Farmers and buyers can connect about what they’re interested in buying and what they grow and produce. Trainings will be held at: January 11: MinnWest Technology Campus, 1700 Technology Drive NE, Willmar, MN 56201 January 12: First Congregational UCC, 406 South 8th St, Moorhead, MN 56560 January 18: UMN Extension Regional Office, 140 Elton Hills Lane NW, Rochester, MN 55904 January 23: Online February 16: Minnesota Farmers Union, 305 Roselawn Ave E #200, St. Paul, MN 55117
