  • EQIP Environmental Quality Incentives Program Conservation Activity Plan

By United States Department of Agriculture

    Description

In order to participate in many conservation cost-share programs from USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service, a conservation plan is required. The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) program may be used to develop comprehensive nutrient management and other conservation practice plans. The conservation practice associated with plan development is known as a “conservation activity plan” or CAP. EQIP may pay up to 75 percent of the estimated incurred cost of practice implementation (and up to 90 percent of the estimated incurred cost for qualifying historically underserved producers)
