Ensuring that youth become engage in farming or remain engaged is imperative to the future of farming. The Cooperative Extension Program at A&T’s beginning farmer program—Youth Engaging in Agriculture—provides material and educational support to programs that teach youth responsibility, leadership, horticultural crops production, and farm business management. Participation in the program will provide apprentices with the skills and confidence they need to successfully pursue agricultural careers.
