Summary

An abundant seed producer, this weed grows in meadows, pastures, along roadsides, and in noncrop areas. Also known as Queen Anne's lace, wild carrot is listed as a Class B noxious weed in Washington. Counties in the Columbia Basin which grow carrot seed require its control. A problem in hay fields and around cultivated carrot seed, this weed may be mildly toxic to horses and cattle. Mechanical and chemical controls discussed.
