The Six Basics of Herding Ducks, the second in the Dogs and Ducks Have You Herd? Training Series, helps you understand the basic commands needed for herding whether it be ducks or other livestock. These commands will help you to gain control of your dog as he learns to take control of the ducks. Working with ducks requires a lot of finesse and precise movements for the dog and the handler. Think of it as herding in slow motion! Success varies for each person and dog, however, following this series the handler should be equipped to perfect their handling skills and be able to use all the commands for working and trialing on sheep, cattle, and ducks for AKC, AHBA, or ASCA courses.
