Tall Fescue Grown for Seed: A Nutrient Management Guide for Western Oregon

Nicole Anderson, Thomas Chastain, John Hart, William Young III and, Neil Christensen (September, 2014)
    Summary

Tall fescue is a deep-rooted, perennial, coolseason bunchgrass. The cool, moist winters and warm, dry summers of the Pacific Northwest (PNW) are suitable for seed production of many crops, including tall fescue and other coolseason grass species. The PNW produces about 80 percent of the tall fescue seed used in the United States and about 75 percent of the world supply.
