    Succession On Farms

    M.R. Hastings (November, 2004)
    Summary

Fear that the business will be eroded by the taxman as it is passed on is one of the greatest worries to the farming community. Considerable energy has been directed to find the most tax efficient methods of transferring wealth and ownership of farms. But the most sophisticated plans will be of little avail if the succeeding generation of farmers is not adequately prepared and competent to take over control of the business.
