Before anyone can make a decision about anything, one must first make a judgment about what one is trying to accomplish. In the case of farm businesses there are numerous things one might want to do. Earning profits, accumulating wealth, passing on a family business to descendants, reducing debts, and attaining financial security are just a few of the things that a farm business owner might want to accomplish as a result of farming.
