    Root-knot nematodes rank second to reniform nematodes in damage to cotton in Alabama. Only the cotton root-knot nematode (Meloiodogyne incognita, races 3 and 4) attacks cotton. This fact sheet describes symptoms, persistence and transmission, and control.
