The half-acre greenhouse at Stone Barns Center is used to grow between forty-five and fifty plant varieties in seven families. Maintaining healthy soil in greenhouse planting bays is critical for continuous, year round production. In this video, Greenhouse apprentice Sarah Isbell describes and demonstrates the varying steps she takes to prepare the Greenhouse beds for planting.
