Labor Talk: Grain Bin Safety

Summary

Grain handling and storage plays a very important role in farming. But working in grain bins can also be very dangerous. We visited with one farmer, Ron Hayes, who lost his son in a grain bin accident in 1993. Hayes started the F.I.G.H.T. Project (Families in Grief Hold Together) to share his story in hopes to educate farmers and future generations about the hazards when working with grain.
