    Summary

    Margarito Cansecos is a farm manager in the Hudson Valley. In this clip he shares the story of how he grew to be a manager, and the skills he developed for this transition. He also shares advice for individuals seeking to climb the ladder from laborer to management. This clip was produced by the Labor Ready Farmer project (https://smallfarms.cornell.edu/projec...), a collaboration between the Cornell Small Farms Program, GrowNYC’s FARMroots, Cornell Cooperative Extension’s LOF program and ENY Horticulture team, and the Cornell Farmworker program. It was filmed and edited by Diana Molina Sosa LLC, of New York City. This work is supported by the Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program grant no. 2017-70017-26837, from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
