Alternative 2011 Corn Production, Consumption, and Price Scenarios

Summary

This analysis of alternative corn yield scenarios for 2011 is motivated by what seems to be an under-appreciation for corn yield risk, particularly the risk of low yields. Even after the lower than expected yield of 2010, there still appears to be a general lack of concern about a weather-induced shortfall in U.S. corn yields.
