This workshop is the final of 3 workshops on intensive oyster aquaculture hosted by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, UF/IFAS Extension, and Florida Sea Grant at Florida State University's Coastal and Marine Laboratory. It was held April 2, 2014. This recording consists of presentations describing on bottom oyster culture systems and methods used in the Northeastern U.S., start-up of a private oyster culture initiative in Martha's Vineyard from training and seed development to marketing and promotion, and development of best management practices for the east coast shellfish aquaculture.
